Job Description
The System Administrator III is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting our IT infrastructure. They work closely with various cross-functional teams to ensure optimal system performance, security and reliability, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations. This is a full-time position with hybrid and on-site opportunities available.

The System Administrator III's skills, qualifications, and responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Administering, installing, and troubleshooting a variety of operating systems
- Performing systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery, and file maintenance
- Scheduling, installing, and testing system software upgrades
- Configuring software and resolving technical problems
- Monitoring system performance and ensuring the reliability and availability of critical services
- Managing user accounts, permissions and access controls in accordance with security policies
- Developing and maintaining documentation for system configurations, processes and procedures
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support application deployment and troubleshooting
- Providing mentorship to junior system administrators
- Staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance system performance
- Assisting in developing and enforcing IT policies and procedures
Requirements
- 4-7 years of experience in IT (system, network, or database administration)
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, or Linux
- Knowledge of configuration management tools (Active Directory, JAMF, MDM, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc)
- Working knowledge of virtualization (VMware or equivalent)
- Experience with scripting and automation tools a plus
- System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
- Must be able to come into the office as needed
Pay
Based on the Sacramento region, the new hire's minimum and maximum target salary for this role is $105k - $125k.
Inductive Automation’s ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Although it is not typical for an individual to start at the top end of the range for the position, compensation decisions are dependent on: the facts and circumstances of each case, work location, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs.
