Ignition Security & Ignition 8.0 Updates

In this session, we will explore recent security updates to Ignition 8 that address vulnerabilities and new security features. We will also explore the latest feature updates to Ignition 8.

Ignition Edge Changes

As you know, Ignition Edge is a line of lightweight, limited, low-cost Ignition software solutions designed specifically for embedding into field and OEM devices at the edge of the network. Ignition Edge has been extremely popular, however, some of the limitations, such as no Gateway scripting or 3rd party OPC-UA access, have been too restrictive at the edge. Inductive Automation continuously listens to our customers and we are excited to announce some changes and additions to Ignition Edge that will start in December of 2019 to address these pain pints. In this session, we will cover the Ignition Edge changes and additions and answer any questions relating to Edge.

Advanced Analytics and Machine Learning

Ignition has a few Machine Learning algorithms built in. There are also plenty of integrators who are using external Analytics packages and doing visualization / reports / access through Ignition. We'll spend around 20-30 minutes talking about Analytics, AI, and Machine Learning in Ignition, and then will switch to an open Q&A on any Ignition topic.

Perspective Selling Strategies and Latest Updates

Since the release of Ignition 8, existing customers have had a lot of questions and concerns around upgrading and leveraging the Perspective Module. Is Vision going to be supported long-term? Do I have to convert from Vision to Perspective? I want to use Perspective but it requires new development? These are great questions. In this session, we will cover strategies to answer these questions and how to position Perspective. We will also provide tools that will effectively allow an existing customer to take full advantage of Perspective today. Lastly, we will cover all of the important Perspective updates since the last Perspective session.
